Mammal Club

Mammal Club are a really exciting band who seamlessly mix jittering electronic beats with smooth and ambient pop, with an unrelenting undercurrent of funk, groove and even small nods to rock and chamber pop.  Incredibly complex and yet incredibly listenable, Mammal Club are wonderfully skilful at what they do, and with an EP out later this year good times are definitely ahead for the four-piece from Newcastle.

Lazy points of comparison might bring you to Passion Pit, of Montreal, Foals and - aided by recent support slots - Everything Everything, but none of this really does them justice.  With hooks that nest in your head and an intensity in their music that simultaneously makes you want to dance and weep, there's no doubt that Mammal Club are doing something very special indeed.

Definitely keep on eye on them over the next year and do check out the sublime new track below, courtesy of the lovely band.
